30th December Gathering @ Turk’s Head

It was suggested and seconded at training tonight that we should have a low-key gathering at the Turk’s Head on 30th December (that’s the day before New Year’s Eve). Be there or be square.

THE BLEEP TEST IS HERE!!!

I’ve managed to get an mp3 of the bleep test and I can now easily put it on CD and we could use it as part of the training on Thursdays. I always used to find it a good way to push myself because it has a good, competetive aspect to it.

Does anyone remember if there are power points in the gym? Otherwise we’d need to get a battery powered beatbox to play the CD.

Is there any enthusiasm for this?

Training This Week

Mr Paul Orchard will be absent from training this week. He is watching his Son’s nativity play. The instruction is that if Broomy turns up we should do some fitness training followed by games. If Broomy doesn’t turn up we are to just play games. Cool? cool!

ROB GOT ID’d !!!

The Christmas do went well. Much fun was had by all who attended. Drinks were had at the Summit, the Turk’s Head, the Railway, Poncitos (?) and the Marsden. Then 11 folk headed off to The Copperpot and the die-hards stayed behind for more drinks in Royton.

Al “the machine” having a baby!

Our very own Al “the machine” is having a baby boy this coming April. Many congrats to him on his 1st born kid. Well done Al!!

So far we have the following significant events for squad members:

1. Al having 1st baby
2. July 07 Colin getting married
3. August 07 Andy Jones getting married
4. August 07 Gooders getting married (tbc)
5. December 06 Rob getting ID’d in the Marsden Pub.

Gooders getting Wed

It’s true. As of this week, super-sub, future star and all round good guy gooders is officially engaged to his partner Miss Hannah Michelle Morris of Royton. She made him wait a whole hour before answering but she was beaming with excitiment once she’d made her mind up.
