Get Well Soon Alan Eamott

Crikey! This just in From Alan’s missus…

“Just thought I’d let you know that Alan is having an operation this evening. To cut a long story short Oldham A&E sent him home on Sunday and told him to take paracetamol! He still can’t eat anything except soup and yoghurt so last night we went to North Manchester and they said he’s got multiple facial fractures: jaw bone, jaw joint, cheek bone and skull….terrific. Anyway, he’s having some sort of plate put in so he doesn’t end up looking like a cross between Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards or Jimmy Hill. I think he’s more pissed off that he might miss the FA replay tonight.
I’ll let you know how he gets on.

Update (Fri 2.Mar.07)
Alan has broken his jaw and has had it wired. He will be there watching on Sunday.

Turks Head 1-2 Bay Horse

To quote the [new] thinking man’s number 8:

We are scheduled to play Bay Horse this Sunday. They are one place above us in the league but we have a game in hand on them. Any words of encouragement? Any injuries or absences?

Game Cancelled but Training IS ON!

Lammie “the rapper” Pie phoned me and there are no games this Sunday or next Sunday due to some kind of financial problem with the league. HOWEVER, we have booked a pitch at the soccer village for TWO HOURS so bring your trainers and kit for a fun session in there. The more then merrier!!

Marston Tavern game Frozen off

After a very thorough pitch inspection the ref decided he’d check it again in half an hour to see if it had softened up at all. 15 minutes later, the game was called off and we all went to soccer dome for a dead good training session where sparky was on fire!!!!
